Dock Construction Built for Life on the Water

Built for the Way You Use Your Waterfront

A dock is more than a place to tie up the boat.

It's where you load the cooler before an early morning on the water. Where family and friends gather at the end of the day. Where fishing, boating and waterfront living become part of everyday life.

Citadel Marine builds docks with the quality, expertise and attention to detail a waterfront property deserves.

Whether you're replacing an aging structure or planning something new, we'll start by coming to your property, understanding what you want from your waterfront and evaluating what the project requires.

Is It Time to Repair or Replace Your Dock?

Waterfront structures live in a demanding environment. Over time, age, weather, storms and constant exposure can take their toll.

You may already know there's a problem. Or you may simply be looking at an aging dock and wondering how much longer you can trust it.

Citadel Marine can evaluate the existing structure and surrounding conditions firsthand.

We'll explain what we see, discuss what you're looking to accomplish and provide a straightforward recommendation for moving forward.

If you've inherited a dock with the property, experienced storm damage or are dealing with work that wasn't completed correctly by another contractor, we can evaluate that too.

02 — Docks

A Better Dock Starts With How You Use It

The right dock should make your waterfront more enjoyable, not simply occupy space along the shoreline.

That's why the conversation shouldn't begin with, “What does every other dock look like?”

It should begin with, “How do you want to use yours?”

Are you regularly heading out on the boat?

Do you fish from your property?

Do you want more space for family and guests?

Will your waterfront also need a boat lift or boathouse?

Citadel Marine looks at the project as part of your overall waterfront so the finished structure supports the way you actually live on the water.

Quality You Can See. Experience You Can Rely On.

A beautiful dock matters.

So does everything underneath it.

Citadel Marine brings experience from residential, commercial and federal-level marine construction to projects where structural integrity and workmanship can't be treated as afterthoughts.

01

Built With Purpose

We approach marine construction with an understanding that the finished structure has to function in a constantly demanding environment.

02

Attention to Detail

Quality extends beyond the major structural components. The details and overall finish contribute to a waterfront you can be proud of.

03

Straightforward Communication

We explain what we're recommending and why. If an unexpected condition affects the project, we'll show you the issue and discuss the plan for addressing it.

04

Respect for Your Property

Jobsite housekeeping is a priority. Your property should be treated with care throughout construction, not just when the project is finished.

04 — Docks

More Than a Dock. A Waterfront You Want to Use.

For many homeowners, the goal isn't simply to replace an old structure.

It's to improve the experience of owning waterfront property.

A well-planned dock can become the center of that experience—a place that makes getting on the water easier and spending time beside it more enjoyable.

And when the work is complete, it should be something you're proud to show your guests rather than something you're worried about repairing again.

That's the difference between simply building a structure and building for the waterfront lifestyle.

Looking Beyond the Dock

Your dock may be only one part of the project.

Citadel Marine provides a range of marine construction services, giving us the ability to look at your waterfront more comprehensively.

Depending on your goals, your project may also involve:

Seawalls & Bulkheads — shoreline protection and structural solutions

Boathouses — added protection and functionality for your waterfront

Boat Lifts — convenient access and protection for your vessel

Rip Rap — shoreline stabilization and erosion protection

Dredging — solutions for water access and depth

Marine Engineering — technical expertise for more complex projects

Instead of looking at each structure in isolation, we can help you understand how the pieces of your waterfront work together.

Experience Matters at the Water's Edge

Marine construction isn't general carpentry with a view of the water.

Building in a marine environment presents challenges that require specialized knowledge, proper planning and experience.

Citadel Marine was built around that expertise.

We've encountered complicated marine construction challenges across residential, commercial and federal environments. That experience allows us to approach your project with a broader understanding of what can happen on the water—and what it takes to respond when conditions don't go exactly as planned.

Because in marine construction, unexpected conditions happen.

What matters is having a contractor who knows what to do next.
