Northeast Florida Marine Construction

A Straightforward Start to Your Waterfront Project

We Come to the Project Before We Estimate the Work

Marine construction is too dependent on site conditions to make assumptions from a phone call.

That’s why Citadel Marine’s process begins at your waterfront. We visit the property anywhere across Northeast Florida, see the conditions firsthand, discuss what we find and give you a straightforward recommendation.

You'll receive a straightforward recommendation, an explanation you can understand, and an estimate based on the project in front of us.

What to Expect

01

Request a Consultation

The process starts with a conversation.

Tell us what prompted the call, whether you're dealing with a failing bulkhead, storm damage, an aging dock, shoreline concerns, or a new waterfront project you've been thinking about.

You don't need to know exactly what needs to be done before contacting us. Understanding the technical side of the project is our responsibility.

02

We Visit Your Property

The next step is to see the project for ourselves.

Citadel Marine comes to your property to evaluate the existing conditions and better understand the scope of the work. This also gives us an opportunity to hear what you're experiencing, learn what you want to accomplish, and answer questions about the project.

An on-site evaluation allows us to base our recommendation on your actual waterfront rather than assumptions made from a distance.

03

We Explain What We Recommend

Marine construction can become technical quickly, but that doesn't mean the homeowner should be left confused.

After evaluating the project, we'll explain what we're seeing, what we believe needs to be addressed, and the approach we recommend. Shane's philosophy is to be straightforward about the work while explaining the technical side in a way customers can understand.

Our goal is for you to know not only what we're recommending, but why we're recommending it.

That gives you the information you need to make a confident decision about your property.

04

Receive Your Estimate

Once we've evaluated the project and established what the work requires, Citadel Marine prepares an estimate based on the scope.

We understand that waiting weeks for a contractor to follow up can be frustrating, particularly when you're dealing with damage or a structure you're concerned about. Responsiveness is an important part of how we operate, and our goal is to provide estimates within 48 hours when the project scope can be established during the site visit.

You'll have a clearer understanding of the project and what it will take to move forward.

Communication Is Part of the Work

One of the most common frustrations homeowners experience with contractors has nothing to do with construction. It's not knowing what's happening.

Calls aren't returned. Questions go unanswered. Problems aren't communicated until they've become bigger problems.

Citadel Marine believes the customer should feel involved in the project rather than separated from it. We prioritize responsiveness from the first inquiry and straightforward communication throughout our relationship.

When you have a question, you deserve an answer. When something changes, you deserve to know about it.

That's not an extra service. It's part of doing business professionally.

03 — Our Process

When Conditions Change, We Talk About It

Even experienced marine contractors encounter unexpected conditions.

The difference is how those situations are handled.

If something doesn't go according to plan, Citadel Marine believes in bringing the customer into the conversation. We'll explain what we've encountered, show you the issue when possible, and discuss the plan for addressing it.

That transparency helps eliminate unnecessary surprises and gives you a better understanding of how decisions are being made throughout your project.

Our goal is a strong relationship from the first conversation through the completed work, built on communication, honesty, and mutual confidence in the direction of the project.

Expertise Without the Guesswork

Waterfront homeowners often contact us because they know something is wrong but aren't sure what the solution should be.

A bulkhead may be showing signs of failure. A dock may have sustained storm damage. Erosion may be changing the shoreline. Or a homeowner may have received conflicting opinions about what needs to be done.

You don't have to diagnose the problem before requesting a consultation.

Citadel Marine brings experience from residential, commercial, and federal-level marine construction to help identify the issue and determine an appropriate path forward. We use that experience to simplify the decision-making process rather than make it more complicated.

Your Property Deserves Respect During the Project

Quality workmanship is only part of a professional construction experience.

Citadel Marine also places a high priority on jobsite housekeeping and the way your property is treated while work is underway. Waterfront homeowners should not have to accept unnecessary disorder simply because construction is taking place.

We believe attention to the jobsite reflects attention to the project itself. Maintaining an orderly work environment is one more way we demonstrate respect for your property and the trust you've placed in our team.
